I tried accessing iTunes so many times lately for the list of top Idol songs; however, for some reason iTunes has deleted the popularity function that I can’t even see Ramiele’s own songs in a list (only the screen list)! Now I don’t have any idea whether “Alone” is making progress or if “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind” is now the more popular song of Ramiele.
And when did this happen? After Michael Johns’ elimination.
I can’t help but think that while AI doesn’t consider iTunes sales as factor in final results, TPTB were definitely concerned by the fact that many AI conspiracy theories are questioning their elimination process! One questioning factor: Syesha Mercado not making it big in iTunes sales versus Michael Johns! And this night is not an exemption: Carly Smithson (though I don’t really like her) going home earlier than her! I can’t help but wonder how big is Syesha’s fan base because I honestly don’t feel them.
So Ramiele fans, though we can only speculate on the numbers, what we can do is be confident that Ramiele can make it big in album sales! Come on, guys, let’s keep on buying her songs so that we can see her make her own record!

“. . . this season the show has shed nearly one-fifth of women viewers ages 18 to 34 — one of its most important constituencies — and is down a comparable amount among kids 2 to 11. That’s a bad sign, because children and young adults are generally the first to bail on a show that’s getting crow’s feet.
And the pace of the falloff may be quickening. Last week’s performance show, featuring the songs of Mariah Carey one of the most successful pop singers in history, was the lowest-rated Tuesday “Idol” in five years among TV’s most important demographic, adults ages 18 to 49. The subsequent results show, in which country warbler Kristy Lee Cook got the hook, delivered “Idol’s” worst Wednesday numbers among adults ages 18 to 34 since its first season back in summer 2002.”
Wow! That’s tragic! I have to say I’m one of those not viewing anymore because of Ramiele’s elimination! And Carly was right that night that the Top 7 became a boring crowd, and we true Idol fans felt it!
To be fair to Michael Johns, when Ramiele was still in the competition, Fox was actually reigning the prime-time:
According to Nielsen Media Research, last April 1 (Tuesday), American Idol’s Performance Night gave Fox a 4.39 million/54% among viewers and 54% among adults 18-49. American Idol got 14.4/23 HH rating/share, 25.19M viewers, 9.3/25 A18-49 rating/share.
Last April 2 (Wednesday), On Ramiele’s last night on AI, the show has 14.6/22 HH rating/share, 24.27M viewers, 9.1/23 A18-49 rating/share. The show has all the 362,904 homes watching, even doubling up over CBS’ Criminal Minds which has only 180,234 homes!
I guess TPTB should think twice in “messing up” with the Idol situation for now on!
