American Idol Season 7 – The Finale!

May 21, 2008

I am so happy and sad at the same time that AI is ending Season 7. This show was a blast this year (despite the ups and down on the ratings and TPTB control over the show)! The Davids finale is THE FINALE! Both gave their best and they are in it to win it!

Archuleta or Cook? Whichever, it’s a win-win situation!

Can’t wait to see Ramiele tomorrow!

David Cook is Number 1; Ramiele Malubay is Number 3 in Philippine Radio Station

May 20, 2008

Who says it’s only David Cook who is making it big in the Philippines? Of course the county’s very own talent is making waves in Philippine radio stations with her song “Alone”!

In a particular radio station, Campus FM 99.5, while David Cook stays at the top of the chart, Ramiele is inching her way up and is now at Number 3 as of May 20,2008! Talk about fan base! Ramiele’s fans (including me) have been wanting to hear her “Alone” on Philippine radios and now it’s coming true! Woah!

You can do the same and request for her song by messaging campusfm995 using Yahoo IM!

You can check out list of Philippine Music Charts here. As of this writing, Campus FM chart in this website is updated only last May 16, so you may not see Ramiele’s “Alone” yet. Let’s see after it’s been updated. Yey!

Paula Abdul explains herself

May 1, 2008

Hear Paula’s reasons for messing up last night’s show. Apparently she still insisted that she mixed up her notes for Jason Castro with David Cook’s.  Also, as expected, she said that she heard part of Jason Castro’s second song during the dress rehearsal and from there she was able come up with some comments. <sigh> It seems as if Paula was at her “extreme normal” sense, that is, understanding that Ryan Seacrest has meant to ask the judges to critique both songs already. Was she not paying attention or was she as bored as I was when watching last night’s show?

See summary here.

Sparrow vs. Blackbird

April 4, 2008

carlyvsdavid.jpg

Since Ramiele has been booted off already in AI, this post is to then speculate on who will be the possible contender of David Archuleta in the finals. And we have two “birds” currently vying for the position.

The Sparrow: David Cook

Thanks to Billie Jean, Mr. Cook has just received major media hype because of his “amazing” performance (as per Simon) and of course the controversy behind the “cover to cover” issue (update: Cook finally recognized Doxology and Chris Cornell during the Top 9 Results Show). However, he has to maintain his spark or else he may end up like Chris Daughtry.

The Blackbird: Carly Smithson

Perfect song choice for we all know that she has BEEN in the industry and then is crying “take these broken wings and learn to fly”! Moreover, she has still been receiving the most number of airtime from AI (with Simon even commenting, as if needed, on her “fashion sense” in the middle of kristy-ramiele-brooke bottom 3 moment last Top 9 Results Show!)

So how about you? What do you think?!?

Who do you think will soar higher?

Simon Cowell offered Ramiele a shoulder to cry on; Danny Noriega to do a duet with her.

April 4, 2008

MTV.com’s interview with Ramiele has our powerhouse pint-size Idol talking about how Simon offered a shoulder to cry on and her plan to do a duet (and move in) with Danny Noriega, plus her opinion on David Cook’s high blood pressure incident and being the group’s little sister.

Ramiele:  Oh, Simon likes me. [Laughs.] He’s a really nice guy. Backstage, when I left the show, he came and he’s like, “Oh, cry on my shoulder.” And I’m all, “OK.” [Laughs.] He just told me, “It was the song choice.” And I’m like, “Yes, Simon, I know it was the song choice.” … Sometimes he overdoes it, because it’s TV, but he just wants us to be better.

Yey! Ramiele is all over the net! Go Ramiele!
