Goodbye “Michelle” or “Jolene”?

April 23, 2008

Both have revealed their vulnerability by singing a song with a name as its title, both are singer/songwriter/acoustic-style performers, and both were not pretty good in the latest AI7 Performance Night.

Is it Ramiele’s rumored “love team,” Jason Castro, who sang “Memory” from Cats or is it Ramiele’s Mama Brooke who sang “You Must Love Me” from Evita?

For Jason: Randy said it was vocally like a trainwreck. Paula, on the other hand, said she likes the idea of a guy singing the song. Simon, meanwhile, felt like Jason was forced to sing the song.

Mama Brooke again messed up at the beginning, and the comments were not as flattering as before: Randy said it wasn’t vocally great but it has full of emotion. Paula advised her to “never start and stop,” though she acknowledged her emotions. Simon, however, said that he thought it’s going to be a tricky one and thought that she will be very disappointed after re-viewing her performance.

The whole Brooke time was actually overly dramatic!

It may be one of them or not but their fanbase will definitely be challenged with this one. If it’s not one of them, then it may be Syesha Mercado’s final night.

But enough already with the emotional rampage! As a treat, here’s free MP3 downloads of two of the most cheesy performances ever this season ;) :

Michelle (Studio Version) – Jason Castro

Jolene (Studio Version) – Brooke White

Ramiele to Jason (or vice versa): “Do You Like My Guts?”

April 23, 2008

This is a very cute tease video by the rumored “love team” in AI7, Jasiele! Just looking at this video makes me think how the AI6 Crowd must have missed Ramiele.

And I think Jason Castro should have asked Ramiele the same question this night after taking a risk with “Memory” on Andrew Lloyd Webber Performance night. It was news days before that he was sick, and true enough he struggled with the song. Reminds me of Ramiele when she sang “Alone.” I think, like Ramiele, if he wasn’t sick, he could have done a good job. How sad!
