I am so happy and sad at the same time that AI is ending Season 7. This show was a blast this year (despite the ups and down on the ratings and TPTB control over the show)! The Davids finale is THE FINALE! Both gave their best and they are in it to win it!

Archuleta or Cook? Whichever, it’s a win-win situation!

Who says it’s only David Cook who is making it big in the Philippines? Of course the county’s very own talent is making waves in Philippine radio stations with her song “Alone”!

In a particular radio station, Campus FM 99.5, while David Cook stays at the top of the chart, Ramiele is inching her way up and is now at Number 3 as of May 20,2008! Talk about fan base! Ramiele’s fans (including me) have been wanting to hear her “Alone” on Philippine radios and now it’s coming true! Woah!

News Post: Death toll from Myanmar cyclone soars to 22,500

“The death toll in a powerful cyclone that struck Myanmar three days ago rose to 22,500 Tuesday and foreign governments and aid organizations began mobilizing for a major relief operation.

The death toll is the latest in a steadily escalating official count since the Cyclone Nargis struck early Saturday, devastating much of the fertile Irrawaddy River delta and the nation’s major city, Yangon.

At a news conference in Yangon, the minister for relief and resettlement, Maung Maung Swe, said 41,000 people were still missing in the cyclone, which triggered a surge of water inland from the sea.”

Love Post for Paula

I don’t hate Paula — let me clear this up — and I don’t ever want to replace her as a judge. And Ryan Seacrest was right to say (like any real Idol fan would also say), “She’s part of our family and we love her.”

Last night, Seacrest addressed the much-celebrated gaffe, “It sparked a lot of gossip about Paula, and I read some of this online this morning. And just for the record, the rumors, they’re not true.” And I have to admit this blog is one of them (read some of this online this morning). I got 1000+ hits yesterday and the other day because of Paula, obviously stating how big this news is for both Idol and non-Idol fans.

I have to admit that last night she won my heart. When asked why was she always so kind to the contestants, she simply answered, “Somebody has to,” and explaining further by acknowledging how hard it is to be critiqued in front of millions of people.

For the record, it’s not Paula who’s to ever hate here (or even blame) but the show’s “obvious” rigidness. But what the heck, it’s also the reason why I love the show! LOL!
